Jesus calls us to a life of service. As you find a place to belong and grow on your spiritual journey, Portview is dedicated to finding ways to help you give yourself to a life of service. Each one of us has been given gifts and abilities that God wants us to use. Check the ministries below to learn how you can become involved at Portview Church. By getting involved you will not only make a difference in the lives of others, but serving will make a difference in you too!
Ministries To Serve In:
One Way Early Childhood
Join a team that loves to teach little ones about Jesus in a safe and loving environment. You may choose to be with babies, walkers, 3k-5k kids, or work with the secure check-in process. Join the Wednesday night team from 6:15pm to 8:15pm, or the Sunday morning team from 8:30am to 10:45am.
One Way Kid's
Work with others who are energetic and love working with elementary age kids in 1st through 5th grade. Lead a small group, help with the secure check-in process, run media, and so much more! Join the Wednesday night Girl's Ministry, or Royal Rangers every week from 6:15pm to 8:15pm, or the Kid's Church team every Sunday from 8:30am to 10:45am.
The Bridge Junior High
Be a mentor to our junior high age students! Invest into these students through small groups, interactive activities, and biblical teaching. The Bridge meets every Wednesday night at 6:30
Hospitality
Socialize and connect with visitors. Serve as an usher, greeter, in the welcome center, or as part of the Coffee Connection Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights.
Worship Team
Use your musical or vocal talents and your passion to worship as part of our Sunday morning worship team.

Media
Come be a part of the media presentation team or media production team. Use your skills in audio, video, computers, web, video editing, digital images, and much more!
Meal Ministry
Portview provides meals to those in who may be experiencing and illness, hospitalization, significant hardship, or who may have had a new baby. Add your name to the list of those willing to provide a meal at a time of need.

Benefits
There are several benefits to online giving for both you and the church.
1. First Fruits - In Proverbs 3:9 we are taught to honor the Lord with the "First Fruits" of our labor. By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify you can ensure that your First Fruits are given back to God.
2. Simplicity - You will not need to remember if you gave this month or send in your offering checks when you are out of town.
3. Security - Online giving is more secure than giving with a check in that an electronic gift can't be lost or stolen.
4. No Distractions - Instead of needing to worry about writing your contribution check during the service, you can be fully engaged with the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.
5. Helping Portview - Online contributions require less processing from our administrative staff since the information is logged and deposited automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is it safe to give online?
Yes. In many ways giving online is safer that writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. The security of the system is continually managed by Paypal.
Q: What types of bank accounts can I give from?
You can give online from your checking account, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or American Express.
Q: Are there any fees involved with giving online?
Not to you. You will not pay any fees with an online gift.
